The Indian Film Industry, Bollywood, produces about 1000 movies every year, which is considered to be the largest film industry in the world. The Indian film industry is not only the largest in the world, but also the most enormous in terms of reach and impact. It has an impact on every aspect of Indian life. In India, the silver screen is the moral judge of the people. It is a dream machine.
A large number of about 1000 films are produced in India every year. This is twice as many as in Hollywood. Huge amounts are spent on each film. It takes about $1.75 million to finance a blockbuster. A large percentage of these films are made in Mumbai, which is the heart of the Indian film industry, as it is of glamour and big money. Calcutta and Madras are the other capitals of film production.
Music forms the predominant part of most Indian cinema. Hindi movie songs are specially popular not only in India but outside too. Today, these songs have reached the MTV age with flashy computer graphics dominating the viewership. Romance reigns but in it's pop form. As with the music, romance is still the mainstay of most movies. Action films representing the ongoing battle of good verses evil are almost as popular. By and large, the films use different combinations of each. Every year brings in innumerable new faces on the Indian screen.
New Movies - Here
are some new movies that are playing.
Thakshak
is a story about an individual caught Ajay Devgan (Ishaan) in the eternal
moral conflict, a choice between personal relationships and social responsibility.
He is beckoned to look beyond his own world by the idealistic Tabu (Suman),
her love gives him the strength to rise above the personal and see violence
and crime in its true and ugly form garbed under the cloak of friendship
and to uphold truth.
Dillagi
is a story about totally opposite, brothers, Sunny Deol (Ranvir) and Bobby
Deol (Rajvir), who are the sons of Dara Singh (Vera Singh) and both of
the guys fall in love with a campus girl Urmila Matondkar (Shalini). Who
will win Shalini's heart is the only question?

This
movie is my favorite movie that has been released. The movie opens with
the whole cast getting together to celebrate Ramkishen (Alok Nath) and
Mamta's (Reema Lagoo) silver wedding anniversary. The fantasy & feel-good
atmosphere is what keeps the audience glued to their seats. Ramkishan has
four lovely grown up kids who share very close bonds with each other and
with their parents. Eldest son (Mohnish Behl) marries Sadhana (Tabu) and
the marriage provides another opportunity for much singing and fanfare.
Prem (Salman Khan) gets engaged to Preeti (Sonali Bendre) and the third
and youngest, Vinod (Saif Ali Khan) falls in love with Sapna (Karisma Kapoor)
Ramkishan dreams of keeping his entire family
always together. The happiness of this picture perfect family is marred
when the brothers' only sister (Neelam) and her husband (Mahesh Thakur)
are thrown out of their house due to some family dispute.
The whole family is extremely upset over Sangeeta's
(Neelam) predicament but they manage to sail through this crisis by staying
together & being there for each other.
